Warwickshire Walks

The Warwickshire Project team has produced an illustrated walks pamphlet called ‘Finding the Way’. The pamphlet enables members of the public to choose two walks where the mileposts can be seen together with a variety of historical features highlighted for viewing along the routes.

The pamphlet also provides an overview of the history of milestones and waymarkers together with a brief history of the Stratford upon Avon to Long Compton Turnpike Trust and raises the unsolved mystery of the mileposts - who commissioned them, who designed them, who manufactured them and when were they erected?
